“It’s not that some people have the willpower and some don’t, it’s that some people are ready to change and others are not”
— Subhash Ardale, engineer
Subhash Ardale,an engineer by profession found himself at the receiving end of criticism for his baby fat. Coming from a small town, it was difficult for him to cope with the unending jibes at his plump body. He unfailingly tried to lose weight by training at the gym, eating uncooked oats, drinking green tea and cutting out sweets and rice from his diet. The transformation was slow but progressive.
Subhash laboured on and started training with Pune Running in February 2018. He is amazed at his progress. He feels much more confident now and his body is at its healthiest best. Subhash recently completed a 10 km run in 47 mins, a feat that may have seemed unachievable to even him a couple of years ago. Subhash has even taken a training session for a group of 60 people recently at one among Pune Running’s 15 training centres.
Not only has his weight reduced, but his skin has also improved- his pimples are gone and his skin tone has brightened. “I see the most surprised look on people’s faces when I show them my old picture”, giggles Subhash.
“At Pune Running, I’ve met some of the most optimistic people in my life. The vibe is so infectious, that every morning, I am very excited at the prospect of waking up and arriving for my training” says Subhash.
His fitness mantra, “When you feel like quitting, think of why you started.”
Join Subhash on one more of his runs at PRBM 2018 presents Poonawalla Clean City Marathon (PCCM) on 18th November 2018 at Balewadi stadium.
